About The Edge Knife Company:
The Edge Company was a knife company that sold switchblades throughout the 1980's. Their last catalog, featured here had a large selection of folders, fixed blades, otfs, italian stilletos and gravity knifes. They sold "kits" which if put together the wrong way would accidentally create an automatic knife. Compared to todays knives such as Microtech, Protech, Dalton, Benchmade, and some of the other autos available, these featured were mostly junk .

The 1989 Edge Company Catalog
Pages: Cover-10 | pages 11-20 | pages 21-BackCover
Having said that, I think the catalog itself has value as a page in the history of knife collecting. I must have thumbed those pages a hundred times, each time picking out a different scale color, or knife altogether, without ever ordering one. I was in junior high in 1989 so I couldn't get an automatic knife approved by the parents. While the hardware is not that spectacular, the catalog remains a part of knife history. I am still an enthusiast today, and often read, seldom post, at knifeforums.com, talkblade.info, and peruse bladeauction.com for bargains.
